1977 F250 ext cab, cooling problem. have jasper rebuilt 460 with RV cam, eldabrach street manifold, msd dist.,coil, and box. Modified c6 tranny, heavy clutches, kelvar bands, large finned pan, diesel tourque converter. Have 4 row radiator, 6 blade fan. Problem is the old gal gets pretty hot aver 50mph when towing heavy (8,000-12,000lbs) in hot weather aver 75 degrees. Runs up around 210 some times over. This is with AC on or off. I do have tranny cooler in front of half the radiator adding one under bed soon(it's in my shop now). Have a 190 stat in her but rareley get down to see it close. Any ideas or sugestions to get my baby down to a more reasonable temp?, Smaller loads are not an option. New and bigger truck not really an option as I am retired from any paycheck, but do farm a little and haul stock and rock. Have been thinking about adding 2 blad electric fan to replace the enginge fan but at 50mph don't thin it will add anything. HELP Pleassse!
