I have trouble shifting mostly into reverse. 1st and 2nd are tough to shift now and then but not always. I hear a noise when I push the clutch in. Any ideas?

Had this exact same problem on my Saab- started with trouble getting into reverse, then started effecting other gears. I looked around and found a leak on the clutch line. I just cut the line on each side of the leak and rebent the line so that it followed a shorter path so that even with six inches missing, I was able to bring the two ends together and flair the ends so that I could use a brass fitting to join them. then I bled the system untill I had a bit of pedel.
Here is a good site for that-http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3828/is_200412/ai_n9466063

Does your clutch pedal have alot of free travel in it??
May just be time for a new clutch and if you keep driving it like it is you will damage the syncronizer rings inside the transmision and wind up having to have it rebuilt also.

I agree with truckpuller. I would look at the clutch and gears in the manual tranny first. You might also want to
check the fluid in the tranny.

I took tempestv's advise and checked for a leak. It was bone dry, but couldn't find a leak. Added brakefluid, got the air bubbles out, and now I don't have all that travel in the clutch when I press down anymore. so that's good. But still have trouble shifting. The tranny fluid is fine. Starting to wonder what else. It does make a sound like a pump is going bad or something when I push the clutch all the way in. Is there some kind of hydrolic clutch deal going on?

TO bad it wasn't something simple like my little problem- I guess I got off lucky. Could you describe this sound better? Is it only when you push in the clutch? High or Low pitch? I have never heard of a powered pump on a clutch, but I guess anything is possable.

It only makes the sound when I put the clutch all the way to the floor. It's not loud, just a faint rattling type sound I guess. It reminds me of a motor that's pumping fluid only the pump has run out of fluid....I don't know. I'm wondering if the master cylinder is going out. Maybe that's what it sounds like. I just remembered that it used to make a popping sound when I pushed the clutch in, and it doesn't do that anymore for some reason. It stopped popping for no reason at all, like maybe it finally broke whatever it was. :(
