91 tauras SHO

just bought a 91 tauras SHO took it down the road ...FAST and when i redlines and went to shift into 2nd the car began to spit and sputter and then stall and since then it will not start it will turn over but not fire ...checked and theres no spark... maybe the distributor??? are the disributors on SHO's the same as off a reg. tauras?

Check the fuse for the ignition

thanks looked in the fuse box under dash changed 2 but still the same result is the ignition fuse in that box or in another location?

Under the hood should be a power distrubition box with fuse's arn relay's for the computer,ignition,ect

Mabey any loose wire's.

By any chance when you were driving it did the check engine light come on?

Sounds like a blown head gasket.

did the Tach quit working if so
check the crank sensor
