van will not idle and wont start unless you press gas pedal while cranking, runs fine until you stop or slow to below 1000rpm. need help we use van for kids school sports trips

try cleaning or replacing your idle air valve.

^ I agree! 99% of the time when a Ford does that, it is a faulty IAC Valve.

If that doesn't fix it, check your throttle position sensor!!

This was wonderful, hit the problem right on the button. Took about 5 minutes to fix.
