Does anyone know anything about the ranger edge air bag sensor?
I started my truck up this morning and the airbag sensor light on the dash keeps blinking. I stopped the truck and started it again, but i keep getting the (guy in the seat with the seatbelt on who looks like hes gonna get slammed with the air bag)!!! Im starting to think ford sks!
Can anyone help? I need to know if maybe this is a sensor that i can reset myself under the hood or dash or if its something a mechanic at a dealership has to look at. Also need to know if maybe a recall or warning is going on with this airbag.. SOMETHING!?! Please help.. I dont want to drive along and have my airbag deploy!

When the ABS system detects a malfunction, it'll store a code in the computer.  I don't know what year your Ranger vehicle is, but if it has OBD, you can run the ECU codes yourself.  If it doesn't, or you aren't comfortable performing the diagnostics, you can take your Ranger to AutoZone, and they'll run the codes for free.

In the meantime, if you want to get the ABS light to go off, try disconnecting and reconnecting your battery.  This will reset the ECU and clear the codes.
