Airbag deployment Sensitivity

My F150 was involved in a front end accident. The truck was traveling <5mph. the other vehicle was not moving. Both airbags deloyed. Is there a way to determine if the airbags were set too sensitive or were defective & should not have deployed?

This article claims that most are set to deploy from 6-12 mph.

It also says that is far too sensitive...

Thanks for the link to an interesting article. Given that information, would anyone know if Ford can be held accountable for replacement if the sensors are set at a ridiculously low level? (hahaha)

Both of my front airbags deployed in my 2003 150
Can I replace these? Is it hard?
And both front seat belts are locked up - will not retract or allow any belt to come out of system - do I have to buy new ones?
