Everyone I'm sure has either done or seen the good ol' clothes hanger wire holding up the tailpipe when the brackets finally rusted through...uh...clear plastic windows when yours have been broken...oh, and i had an old aerostar where the latches for the back hatch broke, and since i was up at the cottage and wasn't paying them to fix it, i just closed the hatch and duct taped it shut...the van was grey too so it didn't even show...I now call Duct tape 60 mph tape cause it held really well...i'm talking rain and wind and a cop even passed me and didn't pull me over for an unsafe load...which i've been told would be the charge as it's rather illegal to use tape to fix something like that...hehehe

My experiences are more on dirtbikes. When you are out in the middle of nowhere, you make sure you take wire, so if something falls off, you just use the wire to strap it back on. Also a buddy had his number plate rip in half, and instead of buying a new one he used zip ties to hold in on. To this day it is still that way.
