I have a problem with my Galaxie, Its a 1964 Galaxie 500 with the 390 and Heavy Duty Crusie O Matic Tranny.
My Problem is I changed the tranny pan gasket, Filter, Fluid because of a Leak. The car has only 40132 Miles but has sat for many years so everything is drying out. Ok since I changed the tranny gasket the car goes into all gears just fine she runs good drives good BUT will not auto shift?????. Is there a vacum line someware that i knock loose or broke. Any Info would help. Thanks

You mean will not downshift or shift up through the gears? Have you been manually shifting up? If so, it may have some debris or gummed-up fluid inside in the servos.
