hey guys, I'm getting close to buying an Excursion with a 7.3. I know this is the truck section, but there is considerably more traffic in the section, and I'm going to assume the drive train is very similiar.
I have never had a deisel, so I really don't know much of what to expect. what kind of maint will I run into that may be differnet than a standard gas engine? all I know at this point is the deisel has alot more oil.

basically the same but have to use a better grade of oil i use amsoil diesel myself others say royal purple its a matter of preference conventional oil rotella t is a good one keep fuel filter drained and change about every other oil change i guess that's the biggest difference just follow owners manual
