Engine change for Bronco II

I have a 85 Bronco II with a 2.8 L engine, 4 speed with OD. I'm wondering if a 2.9 engine will fit with the existing transmission, existing engine mounts, etc., without any alterations?

i had a 90 bronco 2 and i think that it might work. i dont know you would have to ask someone like a mechanic or someting like that. or i would ask patrick and he could point you in the direction for the correct answer.
