Engine Swap 4.2L to 4.6L
I have a 98 F150 extended cab with 90,000 mile on it. Got it from my neighbor after he hydrolocked the 4.2 last summer. Dropped another 4.2 from a 2001 and everything was fine until last week when it ate a valve. I was able to obtain a 2003 4.6 Police Interceptor engine, trans, harness and computer from a rear ended Sheriff's car. Would like your input as to what will be involved with this swap? I have the motor mounts comming with the replacement engine too. What will match up? Does any interior wiring need to be changed? How much driveshaft will have to be adjusted?
