Could anyone with a pretty good knowledge of the Falcon tell me what exactly I would need to do to put a mustang II Suspension under it? I am planning to put an Air suspension under it and they dont make a "kit" for the falcon.. So if you could help please post a comment...... Thanks

I know it's been a few months since you asked about the mustang 11 front end application to a falcon. Are you still needing input? I put a pinto front end, which is the same as a Mustang, under a 65 ranchero. It was rather easy and actually fun to do.

Did you buy a kit 65chero? This is probably the route I am going to have to go. I am building a 521ci ford but the problem is with the headers. The heads are the trickflow 460a which have the chev exhaust. Header choices for these style cars is minimum at best but now I will have to custom make a set. It would be so much easier with a mustang II or pinto front clip. Do you have any pics of your front clip 65chero?

I bought a clip from the junk yard and cleaned it up, then stripped it down to the bare cross over section. You will have to trim a small amount out of the outside of the frame rails to give enough clearance for the clip. I have some pictures of the finished project that will show how it turned out with the old shock towers cleaned off. I used Doug Thorley headers on my 302. The are the try-y design and are designed for this application. They are rather spendy though. Over $700.00. They do look good and fit real nice. If you go to the web and enter 'Ford Falcon', you should be able to find a web sight called " New Mellenium Falcon." Under 'Restoration', there is an article called 'Mustang 11 front end swap' It is very informative and has some good information. If you send me your e-mail address, I will send you some pics. of mine set up. Good luck.

I really don't see the use in messing with suspension systems. Most all Mustang II's and Pintos were 4-lug anyhow. If you are putting power to the road it's a lot safer with high horses to have more lugs and 'till you get done swapping on a set of 5 lug adapters or a custom set of rotors and realigning for any discrepencies you get more work then you really wanted. Honestly every car has it's own ups and downs. Sometimes they can be beefed up without butchery.

You'll never get a big block into the Falcon without butchering it. ...and kits are availabe for Mustang II type suspensions for it.
