My truck i am working on is a 99 f250 sd, 7.3 diesel with the 10.5 3 pinion differechal. If decided to put new cluch plates in the differenchal to fix the limited slip witch is not working. I do not have the tool outlined in instrutions to check gap. Is there some other way to check it?? My other idea was to add .10 shim to each side, or maby even .30 ship, so was wondernig if it would hurt anything? Would it heat up if i had it so tight that it would'nt slip? Any info apreciated. Thanks
