Started my truck this morning, tried to put her in drive, she would not shift. My abs light started flashing. I had to shut her off, turn my key half way, shift her in "N" and started her up,shift her in gear and took off. When you put her back in park you have to cut her off and go thru the same thing. Can anyone tell me How to fix this .

Jump the brake light switch at the padle, it should only have 2 terminals. If the brake lights work then adjust or replace the switch as needed. If the lights don't work you may have blown fuse, if so check for any shorts to ground or bad light bulbs before replacing the fuse.

You called it cctxfish, my fuse was blown and I found the short in my brake light wire. I had tied into my brake wire for my trailor brake lights to work. I used the the splice connectors that cut into the wire,so I took the splice connectors off and used the type that crimp. She works fine.
Thanks, Cactus
