'01 Eddie Bauer 5.4L. All of the sudden, my cd changer always says mag empty, even with discs inserted. Never had a prob b4. Any ideas?

my cd changer quit working too on my 2000. I just bought a replaceent off of ebay and it works great. Sold the old one on ebay for parts and got $45 for it.
