new V8 in 2009?

Is this true?  I am reading and hearing from many diffrent sources ( none of them reliable) that ford is planning on releasing a new 5.8 L V8 HURICANE in 2009.  there is also talk that they may even offer a 6.2 as well.  ( not the new desial, im talking FFV regular gas )  Now if i am just not getting the news on time and this has been talk for a while please let me know.  I would also like to know....  what are they gona do with the 5.4 triton?  i love the 5.4.  They engine is so reliable and been around for a while.  all i can think of is they are trying to get more hauling power out of there name.  anyway, please let me know if this is all bs or if its actually gona happen by 2009.

i looked further into this and its looking more and more true.  they call it "project boss" they say the 5.8 will over power the hemi but like i said before.  i dont know if any of this is true. I also found some light reading on talk of a commercial 7.0L that is available for there comercial vehicles in 2009 but you will be able to order it for the f150 for  a little extra $$$

I also thought I would add that I did find that in these reading's, the 5.8 WILL replace the reliable 5.4

The big question is will it put out as much as GMC's 403HP V8 w/6 Speed Automatic?  It would also be great to see Ford get passed the Jap's Titan and Tundra 0-60 and 1/4 mi times, in terms of performance.  I know those Toyota trucks are not as solid but they smoke everything out there in terms of the performance numbers.  I would like to see Ford not just keep up with the other players on the market but smoke 'em!
 

i would have to agree with that.  and as for all this talk of a new V8.  its looking very real.  no real anouncement has been made by ford, but apparently they are overhauling there engine and body design in 2009 - 2010.  and from what everythign is saying that i am readying, its gona be some crazy power that should put the hemi in its plac.
