Hi everbody, new to the forum and right off the bat I need help.
I''m new to DIY auto repairs too, so maybe that''s the bulk of my problem. Thing is, I''ve got this hand-me-down Ranger, it''s a ''94 and I''m proud to say it''s up to 195,000 miles. The power steering pump is shot, and needs to be replaced as I''m refilling the reservoir every week at least.
Unfortunately, my vehicle has the 3.0 L engine, which I understand to be quite rare. None of the pulley removal tools I''ve found are compatable with this size of Ford engine, they only work with the larger engines. None of the parts stores have one for rental, I can''t even find one for sale. Anybody know anything that might help me out?

The 3.0 PS pump should not be that different from the others. Check with a Snapon or Matco tool dealer if you can find one. Some of these special tools are only available from a tool supplier or the manufacturer
