Hi,

Looking for information (and sketches if available) about how to remove my right front rotor from my 1994 F-250 5.8 Liter four (4) wheel drive pickup.  The hub is the automatic style.

Also,  how deep can scratches be on rotor before it can no longer be resurfaced?  Caliper jammed and wouldn't retract pads, until I heard the classic grinding noise.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Larry

Just jump right into to it,  For the cost of the replacement rotor you should just put a new one on it anyway.  You should also check for brake hose restriction causing the caliper to hold pressure(common problem)  Anyway if you start to remove the hub assembly you can lay parts out in order they are removed and reinstall in opposite order.

I just had my passenger side front wheel caliper lock up on me after an emergency brake maneuver. I only noticed it after smelling odor going down highway for three miles. Thank God that I had three bottles of water with me to put out the fire! I had ownly owned the truck 15 minutes.
