I was just wondering what I can do to make driving my Ford Ranger Edge more fun to drive. I don't know much about modifying my Ranger but I'm thinking of getting an exhaust, a cold air intake, perhaps a chip, perhaps supercharger though my ranger probably isn't worth doing that to. I have a 2K3 Black 3.0 liter 5-speed 2wd single cab Ranger Edge. I guess I should've gone with the more powerful version of the truck, the 4.0 liter if I really wanted to modify it and it be worth it, but since I didn't, I'd just like to get some more kick out of driving it. I probably only need an exhaust just to make driving it more enjoyable. Anyone have any suggestions for an exhaust. I don't want a flowmaster exhaust. I've heard of people saying Gibson exhausts are ok, magnaflow exhausts increase power, some people really like their custom exhausts. Would custom exhaust be my best bet because it'll probably be the cheapest. I'm sure that this has been asked a few times but through most of what I've read, I haven't gotten many answers other than just see a custom shop...Thanks in advance

Ok, i'll give this a try. My name is Gary, I hail from Central Ohio, I am 37 and just bought a 99 Ranger Flareside which is the first Ford I have owned in about 10 years. My current hot rod is a slightly modified Pontiac GTP that is running in the low 13 second range and still pulling 28-30mpg, and my cruiser is a low mileage red LeBaron convertible with the 3.0 V6 5 speed. I am a mechanic-fabricator by trade, specializing in industrial maintenance.

Hi my name is Joe, I'm 40 from just outside of New York City and while I'm new to the internet, I'm not new to Fords. I've had quite a few over the years and currently own a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4. I've had old and new Fords, and from the little Festiva to the Crown Victoria. I love Fords of all shapes and sizes. I recently got online, being dragged into the 21st century kicking and screaming. So I jumped in with both feet, by starting a blog devoted to all things Ford.
If anyone would like to see it,
www.myforddreams.blogspot.com , it's not too fancy, but it should have something for any Ford fanatic. If it's OK with the site admin, I would like to post a link to this forum?

Hello. My name is Matt and i just bought an 05 F150 this week. I’ve been a benz owner my whole life, but circumstances have forced me into this ford. Although it’s not a benz, I am really liking this truck. I drove a Silverado for a week and hated that thing.
Anyway…I just wanted to get the first post under my belt. I have lots of plans for this truck and am looking forward to getting started soon.

Really hope to get a truck over the summer, hopeing that it will be a Ford. by the way, my name refures to the British WWII fighter plane called the Tempest 5 or Tempest V in Roman Numerals. It is regarded as one of the best British fighters of the war, placed ahead of the spitfire by some. Fast, nimble, powerful, rugged, great looking and rather unique- I'll take it!!!

Hi I am 35 and have finaly got my first project car a 92 mustang hatch back. I have a excellent motor for the stang but little knowledge in gas motors and engine swaps. Fourteen years of driving cross country and working on my semi is the only experiance I have. Any help with this project will be greatly apriciated. The motor is a 351w and a C6 transmission that I pulled out of a F-250 The motor and trans only has 20,000 miles the motor was a crate and the trany was rebuilt. Thank You Mack61747

My name is Adam and it is nice to find a place where it is just ford fans! I have been loyal to fords my whole life, I will NEVER own a GM product. I am 25 and I am a Police officer in the UP of michigan. I just bought a 93 F150 with the 5.0 and I want to build the $@#* out of it. The body is rough but there is only 20,000 miles on a new motor. I just sold a 1978 F150 that was fully restored, I did not want to sell it but at the time, the money was more important. So now, I am going to start over with my 93...
Nice to be here and talk to you all.

Hi, I'm Tom. I wanted to buy a new Shelby GT 500 but my wife hid the check book. She said " you have a good car thats paid for" Meaning - I also have an oppressive mortgage... Christian Ed tuition for my kids... gotta heat the house.... any way, the paid for car is a 93' Crown Vic that I really do love and would like to keep. I'm 6'4" @ 210# and these cars are the only ones I can sit in with any comfort, other than the stinking mini van! I deceided to pump a little cash into it and make an SS killer out of it. Any tech help would be GREAT! I'm going to start with air flow and suspension then move on to detail - I'm thinking State Trooper Blue or Black. Thanks FF for the voice and the place to meet some new gearheads.
P.S. I'm in Grand Rapids aka: Bland Rapids.

Newbie here!
New to this forum but i frequent many others.
Recently acquired a 97 f-350 powerstroke and like it so far. Before that all i have owned is Chevy's. Mostly cause I'm a GM tech so this ford stuff is all new to me.
Thanks
Mike

Greetings,
Just joined here, mainly to ask some questions and acquire wisdom on maintaining a couple of Fords in my family.
A little about myself, I'm a 40 year old computer network technician who lives on the west side of Michigan. I used to do most of my own auto maintenance, but as I moved up in the world, I got out of working on cars, now I've started getting my hand back in because I do find I enjoy it, and saving a little money isn't too bad either.
Please don't hate me, but I really don't have too much brand loyalty. I currently own two Fords, a 1997 Taurus and a 2000 Explorer, and a Toyota. In the past I've been known to drive GM stuff; Buicks, Chevys, GMC trucks, and a Pontiac. I primarily go with whatever auto I can get at the right price/right time that does what I want it to. However, I really would like to get my hands on a new Mustang GT

I tell my wife that the mid-live crisis is coming, and a sports/muscle car will help get me through it
Regards,
Dave
