Default 2004 crown victoria grill modification help

I just bought a silver c-vic Sport with body color grill. Research so far does not give me a source of the grill look I want. I want the grill "outer ring" to be silver to match the car, but want a black recessed inner grill portion with the ford oval "floating" in the center of the black, for a more aggressive/sporty look. Is my only option to buy a p-71 all black grill and paint the outer ring? Are they all textured so I would not have the current smooth silver outer ring? Thanks in advance for any help!

If you buy a p71 grille, you can sand out the texture fairly easy. It's not that deep and with a 60-150-600 jump you can have the boarder very smooth. Then for the grille part, if you buy 2 and cut the badge out of one and cut a section to fill the gap where the badge came out of, you'll have an aggressive sporty look to it. (i'd advise on the P71 grilles to leave the center black and the border painted. looks MEAN)
