Default head light problem

I have a 2003 crown vic p71. I work midnight shift and every time I get into the car I drive for about a quarter to a mile or more and the head lights go out. I have to pull over and under the dash behind the computer diagnostic plug there is a wire harness and I have to push on the wires going into the box and then they come on and usually stay on after that. but this happens almost everyday. this is dangerous, I was wondering if anyone has the same problem? and if ford knows about it?

When we come across a problem like this one of the things you can try is to turn the headlights on in the daytime in your driveway/parking area and move the harness slightly when the lights go out and see if you can locate the particular area where you see the movement when the lights come back on.
That way you may be able to pin down the area and check deeper there once you know where to look.
