Attempting to add towing mirrors to 03 e350. My stock power mirrors were working great. I put on new extended mirrors and with ford adapter connection. It began blowing my fuse. I checked wiring and there is 4 wires coming from mirror and only 3 from stock connector.

I attempted to rewire following color scheme and ground the other 2. This did not work.

Picture one was stock set up.
Picture two is new connector from new mirror (4 wires cut now) and old wire from old mirror.

Any ideas?

Make sure to match the connector pin positions/wire colors as 'numbered' on the connector face view. Looking at what you have there (although the gray connectors aren't easily seen laying down) it looks like the 'passenger side' omits the red connector wire, and the 'drivers' omits the Dark Green wire. Again, hard to see the actual pin positions/location within the connector bodies..
