Default 1998 250 Econoline would not start - started, then shut off

Hello,

I have a 1998 Ford Econoline Cargo Van. In the morning, I tried to start the van, it would not start. The engine cranked over just fine but would not fire or start. After about 10 attempts, the engine started. It ran for about 3 minutes, then shut off. I tried to start it but it would not start, then after a few attempts it started again. I drove it about 1/4 mile, then it shut off again. While driving, I noticed some lights in the dash were on that should not have been on. The 4-way flashers were lit up dim but not blinking and a few other lights might have been lit up. The van shut off and started about 5 times within about 4 miles. It also seemed like when I gave it more gas it would shut off sooner. I backed the van back into my driveway, parked it, it idled for a minute and shut down with no warning.

Can anyone help with this problem?

Thank you

Sounds like it could be fuel pump. I have had several vans that we replaced fuel pumps on and that sounds like the symptoms.
