89 E350 auxiliary heating system always blowing hot air
This is an extrended van 1989 E350 5.8 L engine
No matter what Temperature setting I choose, I always get hot air from the rear heating system. Vent position gives me warm air. Floor, mix positions will blow really hot air. The temperature setting does not change anything.
Front system responds fine.
Where is the problem located? Is it a blend door stuck in one position?
How do you get to it?
I am getting ready for vacations and really need to fix this problem.
Thanks in advance for your help.

In the heater hose that goes back to the rear heater is a vacuum controlled valve the vacuum for this valve comes from the control for the heater- A/C. Check the vacuum tothis valve. The rear heater iseither on or off, hot or cold. The cool / heat controller on top of the rear heater direct the direction the air flows.[/align]
