Default Accessory hot wire!

Just purchased a 2013 E150 that had previously been used as a "limo". In dash cd/dvd/radio/nav is not factory and it appears someone has butchered the wiring installing all the "limo" accessories. Radio and TV only play in the "run" position. I've stood on my head under the dash for most of the last 2 days and cannot, cannot, find a wire that is hot in the accessory position! Local stereo shop said look for the brown/yellow wire. I found it, but it's dead as a hammer! I used to be pretty good at wiring up my own stereos, lights, etc. but this one has be bum-fuzzled.

Can you help me out? Thanks in advance!

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site..

I'm seeing the 'ACC' feed from the ignition back into the SJB as VT-GN (violet/green)
Brown/yellow s/b hot in Run.

The ignition switch/ACC is fed from the SJB (smart junction box) and protected to 20 amp. Depending on the total amp load of your devices it may be a good bet to install a relay and the ignition ACC as the trigger voltage rather then to try and carry the full load on that circuit. May be good insurance to protect the SJB.. You can pick up the VT-GN at the ignition switch connector/ harness, or at the SJB..
