Default Dip stick length -E4OD Trans.

I have a 1995 E150,4.9 in-line 6 cylinder w/E4OD overdrive trans. It has the wrong dip stip in the trans & I can't get a true fluid level reading. ANYBODY - Can you give me the o/a length of the proper dip stick - please & Thanx. Ray

This probably won't help you very much, but if you drain the torque converter , it does have a 1/8 pipe plug there, and drop the trans pan and change the filter 14 quarts will bring you to the full mark on the correct dip stick. If it has never been changed, might be something to think about.

I usually check with any Ford parts dept. If they can't get one for you they will usually give you the part #. Once you have a part # you can shop around.
