Default Driver's side i-beam pinch bolt forward or back?

Hi all with a 2wd Ford E-series van. Does the top pinch bolt on the driver's side i-beam go in from the front or the back side? And does anybody know if this ever changed throughout the years?
I'm just wondering if some go in from the front and have the threads on the back side and if others go in from the rear by the brake caliper for some reason. This is on the driver's side/left i-beam only.
Thanks
