Unhappy Ford E150 clun wagon 5.8L

Just put a new radiator in my van.Had to add acouple of brackets because it was a couple of inches short from end to end.Works great so far.FYI. RADIATOR4LESS ON LINE.Got a 3 Row all alluminum radiator for $250.00 including shipping.
Any way,When i put my van in Reverse, it stalls.and now kicks hard when i put it in Drive. While running no problem.

Does any one know what the problem is and a inexpensive fix.?

So we know, was this problem present before doing the other work?

The battery was most likely disconnected when the work was done and some info was lost from the computer.
What you can try is to remove the negative battery cable from the battery negative post and hold that negative cable end against the positive cable end for 10 minutes so any incorrect info can be erased. After that reconnect the cable to the negative post, start the engine and just allow it to reset its idle without moving the throttle pedal. Give it about 10-15 minutes to do this and see what you get.

If the problem started after the work was done, it is possible a vacuum hose or ground wire was overlooked on assembly.

Battery was never touched when i did the Radiator. And no Vacuum Hosses exept for the one that goes to the reserve tank. I do have a sticking Ignition switch, does that have anyting to do with why when i put it in reverse it shuts off ?

And i appreciate you helping me out.

If you raise the RPM's slightly, then drop in reverse does it still die?
