Hi everyone.

My mechanic fixed the problem I brought him, and returned the van with two new problems they insist couldn't have happened due to what it is they fixed.

Brakes replaced, new rotors, new calipers, new master cylinder, one rear hub, rear brake adjustment.

Upon test-driving, the two new problems are:
- the motor continues running when ignition is turned off
- glow plug system "wait to start" light doesn't turn on

What possible components would cause the motor to continue running after turning off the ignition?

What possible components would cause the glow plug wait light to not turn on?

What does one do when a mechanic returns the vehicle with something inoperable that wasn't broken when they received it?

For now I withheld payment and told them I can't accept it with these new issues that arose while they were working on it. They're going to troubleshoot it, but they tried to impress upon me that they aren't liable for these inoperable systems, and that it would be additional work.
