Default Random Power Loss(elect.)/Stall

I'm trying to help a friend out with his van, he installed a stereo system last weekend. Within a couple of days he was stopping at a light and the van stalled. First thought was batt. or alt. He replaced the alternator, same problem next day. At that point system was disconnected from electrical system(power wire & fuse removed, remote wire disconnected from head unit). Finally this afternoon the van stalled(again), opened door no chime/dome lights. Took KEY OUT of ignition at which point CLICKING(like dead batt.) from under dash, & instrument lights flickered.

*Alternator & Battery were removed and tested-PASSED*
**Connected both batt. cables right after test, NOTHING(no dome, door chime, ect...in trying to test something electrical, UN-PLUGGED IGN. COIL, AHHHHH there was power. MOST LIKELY COMPLETELY COINCIDENCE I KNOW, just dont wanna leave out that stupid detail that sops me from getting correct help.**
