my daughter has a 01 escape 3.0 that has a miss i can't find.it keeps giving the same code p0401 and autozone said it was a egr,so i replaced it,the next day the problem is back,read all i could on the problem.cleaned the mafs,replaced the dpfe sensor,replaced all the vacume lines and cleaned the thottle body and still get the same code.
could the pcv as one guy mentioned cause this problem.and another guy said one of the coils could be bad but i've read nothing in regards to this being part of the problem but at this point i'am open to anything , just got back from autozone and we are still getting the same code and again we replaced the egr.can anyone give me another idea ? by the way i have not read the volteage to the mafs yet only because i can't find a wire piercing probe at any auto parts but if and when i do i'll check it.
