Default 2005 Ford Escape trailer tow wiring.

Just recently I installed the trailer tow bar and trailer wiring on my 05 ford escape limited. I purchased the OEM ford trailer wiring harness from my ford dealer, because my escape has the park sensors. After installing the wireing harness I tested the wiring, the lights on the trailer are not working. Hooked the trailer to my freinds truck and the lights on the trailer work. Called the dealership they really didn't know. Worndering if an Escape without the factory installed tow package needs to have a fuse or relay installed? Can anyone help?

Default RE: 2005 Ford Escape trailer tow wiring.

I would suggest talking to the dealership where you bought the Ford trailer wiring. Also the instructions should tell you if you would need anything extra.
According to my information there should be a trailer tow relay somewhere but that is all I can tell you.
Hope you can solve your trailer lites.
