Default 2009 Ford Escape engine not turning over

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Over the past few days I have been trying to diagnose a problem with my 2009 Ford Escape XLT. When I first tried to turn my car on a Thursday morning nothing happened. The only thing on the dashboard that was illuminated was the air bag light in the middle. The past few times this has happened I had been jumped and had no issues until letting it sit over night. I replaced the battery at first but still same result. So second I thought it could have been the starter. Had that replaced but yet still the same issue. I would rather not spend the money at a shop to have them do a bunch of hoopla to tell me something simple. Any advise out there would be fantastic. Once again I appreciate your time in reading this forum.

Sometimes the little things cause the most problems.
Suggest checking the ground cable connection from the battery to the rest of the vehicle where it is bolted on. Sometimes a poor connection there will cause some weird problems.

Agreed. Poor connections can cause serious headaches to vehicle owners. If you find that the connections are tight you probably have a drain on the battery from some electrical component.

Electrical connections can be deceiving and look just fine. The better way is to separate them , clean them and reassemble them and apply the dielectric grease when assembling , especially critical ground connections.
