Anyone have a new model that is having a/c problems?? Does not stay cool when in traffic or stopped, on highway stays cold. When i use the a/c for a while, the car when put into park shutters to almost a stall, then recovers. Ideas?

 

Had a 2005 Mazda 3 with the same issues as you and I wasn't alone a large number of owners complained about the weak a/c , so it was a design flaw of some sort. . Maybe Ford is using the same supplier-parts-design. Ford used to own a part of Mazda at one time. hummmm . I have a 2010 Edge and the A/C is great, no issues.

 

I have a 2013 Escape as well and I live in Florida. I have not had any problems with the air. It is actually cold at times. I have the climate control so, not sure if that makes a difference.

 

Same problem with my escape 2008. The Econ button when it is deactivated it should keep the gasoline engine running for the sole purpose of providing A/C. But it is not working with me despite it shows light when it is activated and light off when it is deactivated.

 

I have a 2013 Taurus, while driving and getting cool/cold air, a blast of hot air comes out, speed constant on cruise control, turned climate control OFF and ON, Cool/Cold air returned, this happened again, OFF/ON again and it returned to normal again. Dealer tech has no idea, no offer to research. Health report no help.
