For those of you with rust in the wheel well area on 2004-2006 Escapes and living in Detroit area, a terrific resource is Remo Rossetti of Custom Welding in Redford. Did a fantastic custom welded repair on my 2004 Escape and cheap! I told him I would help spread the word about this resource. He will take a bunch of before pictures for you as well in case there's ever a recall for this all-too-common problem. Meanwhile, don't junk it!
