Default groove wear in new brake pads

Hi all, I'm new here, I've looked for the his problem all over the internet. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a 2009 2WD Escape with about 90,000 miles on it. I just did it's first brake job on it. I went to O'Reilly's and got the top Brake Best Select ceramics they had, they also turned the rotors. Everything went smooth but now at low speeds you can hear a mild grinding when not using the brakes. I pulled the pads and noticed grooves on all 4 of them on the inside nearest the hub. It seems they overlap the rotor where the surface is rough. Are these bad pads or a poor job turning the rotors....or something else that I'm unaware of? Any information would be greatly appreciated as we are leaving for a long road trip soon. Thanks.

Hi Paul,
I don't know if this is the answer to the problem, but, And I'm not even sure of this, are the rotors for the front and rear different and did you mark them so they went back to the same wheel position? Were the pads you purchased all the same part numbers?
From looking at your pix , it appears the pads are pretty far down on the rotors.
Did you loosen the bleeder screws on the calipers when pushing the piston back in so you don't push contamination back into the ABS unit?

Default solved

I took the pads off and took them back to O'Reilly's and we compared them to another set and sure enough, they were bigger and right up to the groove. They said occasionally there will be a bad mold. They exchanged them and now everything fits perfect.
