Default Knocking Sound When Car Starts Among Other Problems

So my 2002 Ford Escape v6 3.0 4WD has obtained a knocking sound when I start it, an airy, puttering sound when I excellerate and raise RPM's and has a hard time pulling its weight over 50mph. It gets hot on the freeway hills at 65. It was 9,000miles past an oil change, and my oil pressure light flickers on and off throughout my trip.
Its not sounding good, and I'm looking for opinions.
She's going to get an oil change today and some tune up, love, but I have no idea what's going on with her.
She's had her tranny replaced twice, alternator, fuel pump, and all within the last two years. The ABS lights been on for months and my E Brake light has recently started coming on during my trips. My car dies when I put it in park, and has needed to be jumped when I start it every other time. She's idling rough, and shifting hard. Please give me any advice you can, and ask any questions necessary to help me figure this out.
No engine lights are on, and I don't have access to a code reader.

Welcome to the site..

Well,, couple ways to go,, if it's running very bad, misfires, low idle speed, the knocking/shaking from a misfire/multiple misfires (should have the CEL illuminated) may flicker the oil warning lamp and certainly cause drivability problems and stalls. Depending on its mileage (?) it may be a good starting point, or deal breaker before investing money in other areas like tune up costs may be to have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge, more so if it's truelly 'knocking' with an intermittent oil light at a more normal idle RPM, it may be a base engine problem. What's the mileage?
If you have the oil changed before any diagnosis, have them take an oil sample during draining and look for any 'suspended metals' in the mix, or any collected on the plug or evident during the drain. Also, cutting open the oil filter is a very good way to check for engine/oiling issues. Metals will get trapped there.

Sounds like you have multiple issues, but without a good foundation or base engine, the rest may not be as important. Could be just needed maintenance would correct the issues, but with the oil lamp Indications, MORE SO if at cruise speeds/above idle, and knocking present if it is, I'd want to be sure as possible.
