Default Shudder Problem

I have a 94 Escort LX... Just recently it has developed a shudder problem. It seems to happen somewhere between 40 - 60 mph. Happens more-so when traveling up hill and the cars speed seems to be decreasing(naturally so going up hill - no power loss) The car will start to shudder?!?! I've checked the basics (tie-rod ends, ball joints, & even wheel balance - I've evan gone as far as rotating the tires thinking I could better pin-point the shudder ----- no luck so far)
Another tidbit of information though - It does seem to shudder more on the drivers side than anywhere else.......
Any thoughts would be greatly apreciated and helpful.
