Battery Drain

Battery Drain
Battery drain on 1999 escort 2.0. I disconnected neg battery terminal and connected test light between battery and cable. I then pulled all fuses and only one pulling drain with light on was the 30amp Fuel Injector fuse located in engine room box. What does a fuel injector fuse control and any ideas why it stays on all the time and draining the battery quickley. I disconnect the neg battery cable after driving and connect when I start the car. Car runs fine but battery drain is hard to fine. Thanks for any help.

Don't know what equipment you have available, but you might try either of these two things.
Look in the owner's manual , fuse section, and see what that particular fuse protects and that may provide some direction. The other option is to look on a schematic diagram and see what else is in that circuit.
Looking at a diagram, it appears there is a constant control relay module in the engine compartment, on the driver's side, down on /near the fender well, that contains a powertrain control relay and that relay may be sticking closed. Nothing in it is servicable and if that is the problem you may need to replace it.
