Default buying advice on damaged escort

Does it make sense buying an old escort wagon with front-end damage?

Looks like the hood won't close because of two big dents and the front bumper is hanging down both right and left.

Was thinking of a $300 offer...

Since every situation is different, what if you checked around and determined how hard it would be to get parts for this vehicle. Depends what you want to do with it.
Look at the price you pay to purchase and the cost of obtaining the needed parts which we have no idea what and how many at this time, could be a money pit.
