2000 4.6 Ford Expedition - Rough Idle
Greetings:
I own a 2000 Ford Expedition 4.6 Liter SUV. The truck is maintained in an excellent manner and many parts have been replaced over the last 3 years. I have approx. 124,000 miles on the truck and my transmission failed last month. Anyhow, I took my truck to a very reputable shop in which the shop owner and lead technician own Ford Expeditions and have previously worked for Ford.
The transmission was swapped out with a Jaspers re-manufactured transmission (like new). Since receiving the truck back, I'm noticing that a rough idle now exists. This occurs upon cold or warm start and while sitting at a traffic light. No "service engine soon" light has appeared and the problem did not exist prior to the transmission failing.
I took the truck back to the shop and let them have it for an entire week and they cannot determine what is causing this to occur. They swear that it has nothing to do with the newly replaced transmission.
Any insight, feedback or suggestions is GREATLY appreciated this is now becoming very frustrating.
Thank you in advance....
