Hey everybody...I have a 2003 Expedition with 111,000 miles on it. Today, my vehicle was fine; drove it to work and at lunch...however, this evening, I stopped at a stop sign and when I accelerated, a sudden popcorn popping sound came from under the hood...followed by a burning smell. I immediately pulled into the nearest parking lot and cut it off; I will have it towed in the morning. Thoughts as to what it could be? FYI...I took it in Friday for routine maintenance (oil change, tire balance and rotation, and alignment). Thanks!

 

Don't know for sure, but sounds like it blew out one of the spark plugs.
