Noise after service help

Default Noise after service help

Just had the water pump replaced. Now i have a clicking sound only when accelerating. No noise when it starts or at idle or if i put in Park and rev engine....what could this be any help would be great...its a 97 expedition 5.4

It's always fun to try to diagnose an engine noise without actually hearing it.
All kidding aside, from what you describe it could be an exhaust manifold leak or possibly just belt noise. When coolant gets on some belts they do have a tendency to squeak, click, tap etc. If it is just coolant it will usually disappear over time.

Thanks for reply i hope it would just be coolant like you said but wouldn't it do at when idle as well? Just find it weird that it never did that before but after i get it back from shop it starts
