Exclamation 1997 SOHC - Rough start/run - Cold weather/Cold

Have a 1997 Explorer SOHC V-6, A/C, Auto., 4X4, just moved to Michigan from Nashville in December. First thing in the morning starts-Then dies. Will NOT stay running without throttling it. When warm ( Higher then 40 F outside) no issues of this. Once the engine get into the warm zone, same thing, No issues. Yesterday a local show replaced the sensor above the aircleaner, says it will be good. This morning (8 F) same trouble, Sunday too, closed. I tried to drive it to get it warm, check engine light started flashing and it felt if the truck was running on 3-4 cylinders. It DIED everytime I stopped It starts right back up easily though. Once it warmed up, was good to go. HELP Please.
