We just bought a used 2005 Explorer XLT and the Message Center is displaying info/warnings in Japanese (?) and English. The main info panel shows the temp, direction, and mileage in English, the avg MPG is in English, but then it switches to something that appears (could possibly be a warning) in Japanese. Also, the check info that cycles thru all are in Japanese and the only way I can judge what the functions are explaining is by the number and what the check order is from the owner's manual. I have tried reset and checked the manual but nothing is clear. Is the message center supposed to read this way in both languages? I would think not.
