Default 1997 Ford Explorer idles funny

Hi all...I own a 97 Ford Explorer XLT. I love it; the only problem is in the mornings when I first start it, it idles rough and dies out. When I stop at a light lately the idling changes and goes a little up and back down. There has been a couple of times where I thought it may die out after stopping at a stop sign and then going but it didn't. I have had the throttle body cleaned, throttle sensor replaced and the fuel filter changed. Is there something i may be missing? It was even run on a scope and no codes came up. I would be appreciated of your suggestions on this.

Thanks,
Raccoon.

I'm no mechnic and you'll have to put this question out to everyone in the forum for anyone who can help with the problem
My truck is a 1992. I've looked through my manual for anything close to what you are saying. It mentions vacuum leaks and to check the mounting bolts at the intake manifold for tightness.
Leaking EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve or plugged PCV valve, air filter, loose or damaged wire harness connections at distributor, coil or alternator....clogged fuel filter...of course there is always the spark plugs to check.
That's the best I can do ...but I'm sure there is someone else around this site who would be more helpful

You may have spark plug wires arching? This will sometimes happen from morning moisture. If tune up has not been done recently it is usually money well spent.

I had a similar problem om mine. It ended up being the Mass airflow sensor. It is located in the black plastic box with the air filter.
