Default Battery Light

I recently changed my alternator in my 03 Explorer and now my battery light is coming on. I took it to Autozone and had them check both the alternator and the battery. The tests came back that both were good.

Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

Default RE: Battery Light

Hi, I have a '04 with a remote starter. I have had one battery replaced and also the alternator. This weekend I was not able to start it so I jumped it and ran it not long enough to charge it. Today same problem. I am convinced that something is wrong with the charging electrical system since it makes no sense to go over a battery and an alternator in less than 5 years.
Looking for a posting that can give me some ideas.
BTW no battery light problem for me.....just no battery at all.

Thanks!

Newer vehicles have electrical drains like radio memory and other computer memories that constantly drain the battery. Keep battery CABLES clean on BOTH ends (disconnect and clean both). If you jumpstart your truck - do it like the manual says or damage can result in the electrical system.

(And again - the parts place would much rather sell a60 dollar battery and100 dollar alternator than 2thirty dollar (or less) cables).
