Default RE: Rollover

well a shorter answer maybe just to give her back the keys and let her get it back in working condition, but as a do it yourselfer with a 96 ford, I have a fuel pump switch on the passenger side under the dash that turns of the fuel injection. I would make sure that red colored button was down and then make sure the spark plugs are dry, the jets aren't damaged or anything, check the inner timing belt and finally the ignition and fan system still turns. then hold the starting in the ignition position for 10 seconds and see if i hear the starter turning over. If it doesn't start, get a friend to turn the key wial you take the spark plug lines off one by one and see if your getting a spark from the distributer. If theres a spark, i'd turn over to the fuel system. it could be anything from the fuel pump to a loose electrical connection.

as fare as your transmission not shifting theres a safty feature that you have to hold down the brake to get it to unlock, other then that I would take it to a specialist who would look it over.
If nothing is working call the tow truck and be prepaid to pay some money, a lot of money.
