I said use it on the intake areas lightly - not go nuts. Short burst will tell you and not leave a flame in most cases. Or if less daring use propane torch end unlit and listen for a mild engine sound change.

Default K&n cold air intake & gibson exhaust
I HAVE USED K&N INTAKE ON 5.4 ENGINES AND NOW USING ON MY 3.5 TWIN TUBO BOOST SHO. I HAVE ALSO USED GIBSON EXHAUSE AND HAD WONDERFULL RESULTS WITH BOTH PRODUCTS. MILEAGE INCREASE AND NOTICEABLE SPEED INCREASE
