Default Sway bar link change and issues

2004 ford xlt 4wd. Both sway bar link bolts were broken. I replaced the sway bar links to around 20 ft lbs. Can they be to tight or loose? Could it be from having the front end off the ground for a period of time will cause some shake or resistance in the steering wheel for a period of time? I had this problem on a 95 explorer. Every time it had the front end off the ground it had steering wheel shake for a few day I was told because of air in the power steering. Any ideas?

I believe your torque spec for the links is in the ball park.
When turning the steering wheel with the engine off many times will force power steering fluid out the cap . If too much , could pull in some air. Might be a good idea to check the fluid level when done and with the wheels still off the ground cycle the steering wheel back and forth with the engine running to expel any trapped air and bring the level up to the cold mark.
